Princess Simpson Rashid is an American painter and printmaker. She is a graduate of Georgia State University with a B.S in Physics. She later studied printmaking and painting at The School of Plastic Arts in San Juan, Puerto Rico. All of her studies helped her realize that there is a connection between art and science. She later studied printmaking and painting at The School of Plastic Arts in San Juan, Puerto Rico. All of her studies helped her realize that there is a connection between art and science. It has become her mission to express that connection with her art. She has had significant solo exhibitions in museums, art centers and galleries throughout the United States. She has many private collectors throughout the United States, Great Britain, Portugal and Australia. With the palette of a surrealist but the technique of an expressionist, Rashid has also been known to design compositions and place her colors in such a way that suggests musical arrangements. This is true throughout the gamut of her work.
